Differentiation means varying instruction—content, process, product, or environment—based on learner needs, not creating separate curricula. Goal is same curriculum at appropriate challenge level for each student.

Inclusive education principle: All students access the same curriculum. Scaffolding and challenge are adjusted, but the core content and expectations are consistent.

Pro tip: Front-load vocabulary and concepts for students needing support. Provide extension challenges for advanced learners during the lesson, not after. Everyone is learning the same concepts simultaneously.
