Dance as Physical Expression

Dance education develops body awareness, coordination, rhythmic understanding, and creative expression. Year 3-4 students enjoy movement and are ready to explore diverse dance styles and create their own movements.

Build fundamental body awareness:

  • Body parts: Awareness of different body parts and what they can do
  • Tension and relaxation: Controlling muscle tension
  • Balance and stability: Moving with control and balance
  • Coordination: Coordinating different body parts working together
  • Posture: Good alignment and posture during movement
